TINA - The Tina Turner Musical Virginia Beach reviews
Possibly best Broadway musical ever!
We saw this show on Broadway in December 2019 right before COVID shut everything down. And if it hadn't been for the shutdown, we would have gone back and seen it sooner than we did. The cast is some of the most talented performers I've ever seen, and I've seen several Broadway shows. Even though this wasn't on Broadway and was in Memphis, the show was even better than I remember it being the first time. Don't miss this show if it comes close to you! We carried my mother, who is quite possibly the biggest Tina Turner fan in the world, and if it pleased her (and did it ever) then it will be well received by everyone. Can't wait to try to catch it again.
TINA!!!
A fantastic time was had by all - went to the Saturday afternoon matinee with 5 others and everyone walked out of the show with a big smile on their face (despite the Minnesota snow). We were blown away by the performances, the story and the experience. It was like a Tina Turner concert, heart-tugging story, anger-inducing domestic violence portrayals, exceptional song and dance performances all wrapped up a phenomenal Broadway show celebrating the enormous strength, personality and talent that is Tina Turner. The girl who portrayed a young Tina has the voice and stage presence of a much older, seasoned performer. The woman who portrayed the grandmother has such a beautiful voice and the young woman who played Tina made you forget she wasn't Tina. This is a show I would like to see again!
